dang. i should've mentioned that (now i have). the pink ladies were indeed delectable after the bev, soaked in honey and espresso. many ate them.

and the drinks actually were quite fast -- even faster than most. the honey prevents browning, so i cut a number of the apples hours in advance. that left only the shot pull and a spoon of foam, which, if you're doing multiples, allows milk-nuking for as many as five beverages at once.

While some opine that bevs of the signature variety should be servable in the frantic flow of an everyday, anywhere commercial setting, I love the seasonal and occasional thought and application put into your drink.

I tried hollowed acorn squash a couple years back for savory/sweetness... it was god-awful. But Philip Search's most recent treat of espresso-soaked medjool dates has me wondering: did they eat the pink ladies?
