frankly, i was probably too (a) startled at the way-slow shottage and (b) short on time to give it a worthy chance.

the vibe is way cool. and the shop is a must-see, if you're in atlanta. definitely the best thing within three hours of me. i just need a few more drinks to make up my mind. it'll happen.

nice to know about the plungers.

p.s. geez, phil, guess i need to update my rss feed from your old site. i shoulda known about your atlanta trip.

I was just there two weeks ago and was very impressed by the suspenstion of the drip, the afterglow, as well as the buzz (creeper, sustained peak, chatter box). But mostly I was near shock to discover that they are currently the Southern most shop to throw out the Fetco and offer plungers as the only brewed coffee option.

I can't address the aloofness of staff as I was waited on by Tony, the owner. But that does sound like a strange "Dance of the Baristi".

Overall, I would be excited to have a shop or two of that caliber in my town.
