‘Chemically Imbalanced,’
I am a representative from Smithsonian Folkways interested in contacting you about the upcoming album “Delicious Peace: Coffee, Music & Interfaith Harmony in Uganda” (release date 4/9/13). The first album of its kind, the music on Delicious Peace is performed by coffee farmers of the Peace Kawomera (Delicious Peace) Fair Trade cooperative in Mbale, Uganda, aims to overcome religious conflict and bring peace through song and fair trade coffee. Tracks such as “The benefits of coffee” and “In Uganda, everyone grows coffee” are uplifting, inspiring, and bring together the importance of coffee and music in the international community. Royalties from the sale of this recording also support education for the children of the Peace Kawomera cooperative.
As your blog is about “how sublime coffee collides with real life,” I thought it could be a perfect fit for you and your readers!
I would like to send you more information to preview our album and, if you would like, to share the release information on your blog. Unfortunately, I could not find contact information here.
If you could email me at VertS@si.edu, I can send you the full press kit. You may also choose to avoid posting this comment publicly on your blog.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Shauna Vert
